Love Chicago

Christmas in Chicago was amazing! My boyfriend and I wanted to break the tradition of spending time with family and we decided to fly a few days to Chicago, the city of wind and tons of snow in winter. I had already been to Chicago in September and returned home in love and with the curiosity to know Chicago in winter. We here in San Francisco do not have temperatures as low as in Chicago, so we were a little afraid of getting sick, but my desire and my hope to see the city covered in snow was stronger.

We arrived two days before Christmas so we were lucky that it was not so cold and we could gradually get used to the low temperatures. For the holidays days the city was very colorful and with Christmas spirit wherever you went, just like I imagined in my dreams.

The third day was very cold, but believe me, it was worth it. For me it was a dream come true. My photographer’s intuition and my love for this city did not disappoint.

I confess that the city in winter is not as happy as in summer, but there are other activities to do. We had time to tour the city, but also spent time at the hotel. Many times you pay for the hotel and room with views and never take advantage of them.

We are very happy to have chosen Chicago to spend Christmas. This time we could travel together, so I could show to him the city through my eyes.  I hope that you, for those who have not visited Chicago in winter, learn about it through my photos.

Thanks for reading me!
