Happy New Year!!! I hope you had an amazing start of 2019 and are feeling motivated to embrace the magic of new beginnings.I want to continue setting short-term goals for myself, as I did in 2018 (month to month), to work on this new year. I will share these with you today.
I want to be more loving with myself
I would like to be freer. I would like to put aside shyness and let myself go. Being able to do things no matter what others say or think. This year, I want to have more time for myself. I don’t want to feel pressured. I love my job and I always say that I am very lucky to do what I really like, but this often causes me a lot of anxiety. It’s what it means to be your own boss, that if you don’t work, you don’t make money. This year I don’t want to feel guilty for taking a break and taking some time for my personal care.
In this year and a half that I founded Living Better with Oli, I’ve spent too much time in front of electronic devices (laptop, tablet, phones, cameras, etc.). Even though all of this is the basis of my work, my goal is to turn it off once in a while and take time to read a real book. This year, I would like to read 10 books. Reading is something I really love, but in recent years I haven’t had time for this.
Continue growing the blog
In recent months, the blog has had an incredible growth. I think it’s the fruit of hard work. I have been publishing up to 4 times a week. I’m very happy about it. I’m currently focused more on the blog than on the social media pages. This year I will open my online photography store. I don’t have a definite date yet, but I want it to be around the second anniversary of Living Better with Oli. It would be great, right? I would also like to create a great community on Facebook and Twitter.
For the past couple of months, I have been dedicated 24/7 to the blog and although Living Better with Oli has become my passion, I would like to have time for me. I want to keep writing, but also have time for other things. The only thing I’ve been doing so far as a routine is to attend the gym, although if I’m honest, I’m not sure I’ll keep my gym subscription this year. Instead, I would like to walk outdoors. I have not decided yet but I could try this month, doing exercises on the beach or in the park with the help of YouTube videos. If you have any recommendations for me, they will be welcomed.
I also want to create a study routine. I need to improve my writing in English. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but my first language is Spanish. I have improved my writing in recent years, but I would like it to be perfect.
Traveling is possibly in 99% of everyone’s resolutions for 2019. This year I would like to take a trip back to Europe to take pictures of cathedrals and European landscapes. I will be publishing my desired photographic destinations for this year at the beginning of next week.
What are your goals this year? If you have any resolutions in 2019, just focus on them and make it happen. My greatest wishes for you this year. Happy New Year!
